Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals have made several appearances in the NFL playoffs since 1970 winning the AFC Championship in 1981 and 1988. They ended up losing the Super Bowl to the San Francisco 49ers both times. Their most recent playoff appearances were a string of consecutive berths from 2011-2015. Their 2015 Wild Card game appearance ended with a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Famous Bengals include Ken Anderson, Boomer Esiason, Chris Collinsworth, AJ Green, Andy Dalton, Reggie Williams, Lemar Parrish, Isaac Curtis, Chad Ochocinco and Anthony Munoz.

The team is still under the leadership of Coach Marvin Lewis. Current players Jeremy Hill, Andy Dalton, Marvin Jones, AJ Green, Tyler Eifert and Mike Nugent make the Bengals offense one of the most productive in the NFL.

Defensive standouts Vincent Ray, Dre Kirkpatrick, Reggie Nelson and Adam Jones helped make the Bengals the Number 2 ranked defensive unit in 2015.

The Bengals shared Riverfront Stadium with the Cincinnati Reds from 1970 through 1999 and began playing at Paul Brown Stadium in 2000.

In 1981, the Bengals went on a winning streak in November, winning all 5 games that month and eventually earning a trip to the Super Bowl. During the streak enthusiastic fans began chanting: Who Dey, Who Dey, Who Dey think gonna beat them Bengals. The
answer, of course, is NOBODY! The chant is still used at games today and the Bengals mascot has taken the name Who Dey as well.

After five straight losses in the opening round of the playoffs, The Bengals are preparing for a successful 2016 with lofty goals indeed. Fans expectations will also run high and the season promises to be exciting for Bengals fans everywhere!
